MID AUGUST 2023 KITCHEN REMODEL PROGRESS
We’re happy to report on progress for the kitchen remodel in this historic home in the popular Cameron Park neighborhood near the Village District and downtown Raleigh. Our vision for the space continues to come to life with the dramatic natural stone wall and range hood.
We framed/drywalled around the hood for a seamless look with just under 100 square feet of beautiful Arabescato D’oro marble. The range install is next!
As you can see below, we always include clever storage solutions in our kitchen designs. This kitchen is no exception with a utensil pull-out organizer to the right of the range and a spice pull-out organizer to the left.
Also shown here, light fixtures are in with the pendant light above the island as a centerpiece for the space. The island features honed quartz Charcoal Soapstone from Silestone.
We are near the finish line for this Raleigh kitchen remodel and look forward to the homeowners enjoying their space! Do you have a kitchen or other space that is a good candidate for a remodel?
LATE JULY 2023 KITCHEN REMODEL PROGRESS
Progress continues on this historic home on Hillcrest Road’s interior design in Raleigh. We have a clean palette to work from as sheetrock repairs are complete and painting is in-progress. The “steel blue” custom cabinetry has been installed and trim work is ongoing.
As you can see, a custom vent hood frame is being constructed above the cooktop base cabinets. Walls and trim are a crisp white color to complement the cabinetry and flooring. Stay tuned for more updates in August.

The homeowners are a growing family that seeks more functional use of their available space. The kitchen has some intriguing features like the above corner closet and built-in refrigerator wall, offering an open floor plan that’s ready for a greater purpose.
As a nod to its history, we used various dining room features to draw inspiration for the kitchen design, along with some of their favorite idea books.
What stays? What goes? Below are design and material concepts under consideration.
The kitchen demo has begun.
Stay tuned for our next update as we go from concept to completion!
