Bannerman Lane | TEW Design Studio

For this Cary, NC home, referred to as Bannerman Lane, our clients were a family of four, with a matriarch who is an artist. She had wonderful taste and a love for color and we fell in love with her style instantly. These clients were seeking design direction for their home, small changes to really bring cohesion throughout their spaces. After renovating their living room fireplace and two bathrooms, here’s how it came together.

Scope: Half Bath, Full Bath, Living Room Fireplace, Dining and Entry Lighting
Style: Modern, Sleek, Clean – A blend of unique and durable materials inspired by the client’s personal style.

Design Highlights

Custom-Designed Tile – A favorite feature of this home is their bathroom’s unexpected tile: a full bath with a bold geometric pattern and powder bath with whimsical color throughout. We were able to be present during installation to make sure the final layout was intentionally thought through
The Fireplace – A New Focal Point – A stunning, clean Dekton slab with a floating mantel to replace the once heavy, traditional millwork
Dreamy Lighting and Mirrors – Off center hanging pendants and organic shaped mirrors bring a free flowing feel that moves throughout the home
Playful Colors & Textures – Thoughtfully layered colors bring a sense of artistry, where their personality really gets to shine
Meaningful Art – We used our client’s own work above her fireplace, giving their living room a personal touch
